A little introduction to my first furchild, Lahksa! Lahksa (pronounced Lak-sa) is a red spotted Siberian male cat who was born in the Netherlands on the 17th of April 2019.
Lahksa’s name was inspired by our favourite Singaporean dish, Laksa. It is a super lekker noodle dish with a shrimp coconut gravy. But we wanted to make the name more special and decided to add an element of Singlish to it – Lah. So his name became La(h)ksa!
Fun fact: Lahksa’s original name given by the breeders was Barmalej (pronounced Bar-ma-ley). So the name on his pedigree papers and passport is actually Barmalej.
